So he's up for a best actor Oscar and his movie Up in the Air has gotten tons of buzz. That doesn't mean George Clooney's beyond the occasional flop. His 1997 "franchise-killing" flick Batman and Robin, with Chris O'Donnell and Alicia Silverstone, was picked by Empire magazine readers as the worst movie ever made, Reuters reports. Others in the top—or bottom—10:

  • Battlefield Earth (2000) with John Travolta "as a dreadlocked, 9-foot-tall alien."

  • The Love Guru (2008) with Mike Myers. "This starts with an unoriginal character and borderline racist and sexist humor before heading straight for the toilet," Empire writes.
  • The "lazy collection of re-creations of scenes from blockbuster movies" that was Epic Movie (2007).
  • 2008's The Happening with Mark Wahlberg and Zooey Deschanel. Potentially decent cast, but the performances "felt forced and flat."
