Dressing up as a telephone repairman to gain access to a federal official's office is just a "journalistic tactic," James O'Keefe told Sean Hannity last night. The conservative filmmaker, in his first TV interview since he and three cohorts were charged with trying to tamper with Sen. Mary Landrieu's phones, said the affair is "a huge misunderstanding," the Huffington Post reports.

"Did you dress up as a telephone repairman or telephone repair people?” Hannity asked. “Yeah, as far as that’s concerned, I mean, investigative journalists have been using a lot of these tactics for years," O'Keefe, 24, responded. The young conservative—who says video filmed during the incident will prove his innocence—declined to comment when Hannity asked him if he and his team had accessed the main phone circuit in the Louisiana senator's offices.
