Tiger Woods had better not come back to the golf course without making some kind of public appearance elsewhere first, warns a fellow pro who doesn’t want the media crunch. “I think he should come out [of hiding] away from a golf course, one, out of respect for all of the other players, and two, to defuse the circus part of it,” Australian Geoff Ogilvy, the world’s No. 9 player, tells the Times of London.

“I don’t believe a lot of tournaments want all the tabloid media floating around. It would still be big and crazy, but that tabloid edge might be gone,” adds Ogilvy, the 2006 US Open champ. “His first conference is going to be the crazy one. A lot of people who have been afraid to ask questions for ten or 12 years won’t be quite as hesitant as they used to be. And he is going to have to answer questions.”
