Bristol Seeks Full Custody of Tripp

Bristol Palin has sued for full custody of her out-of-wedlock son, charging that daddy Levi Johnston "is not ready for the demands of parenthood," and that his primary source of income has been a "risqué" photo spread in Playgirl and selling stories about his now year-old son and the Palins. Bristol lost a bid to keep the proceedings secret after Levi complained that he wouldn't "feel protected against Sarah Palin" in a closed proceeding.

"Public scrutiny will act as a check against anyone's need to be overly vindictive, aggressive or malicious, not that Bristol would ever be that way, but her mother is powerful, politically ambitious and has a reputation for being extremely vindictive," Johnston argued in an affadavit. A judge ruled last week that the filings and continuing proceedings be open to the public, reports the Alaska Dispatch.
