Jenny Sanford continues to write the book on how a jilted political wife can emerge stronger. South Carolina's first lady, who moved out of the governor's mansion in August after husband Mark's affair, has trademarked her name for a possible clothing and gift line, reports the New York Times. She's also got a memoir coming out in April and will be interviewed by Barbara Walters next month as one of the year's "fascinating people."

The independently wealthy Sanford also has set up a personal website and endorsed a female candidate to succeed her husband. All this has people predicting she'll run for her office herself someday, especially given the experience she got running her husband's campaigns and serving as de facto chief of staff for a spell. “She is stepping from the background into the foreground,” says one observer. “She has moved from promoting him as a loyal spouse to using those same talents on behalf of herself.” (More Jenny Sanford stories.)
