The Parents Television Council is on the warpath, this time over news that the upcoming episode of Gossip Girl will feature a threesome. The group has sent a letter to CW affiliates warning that they’ll be “complicit in establishing a precedent and expectation that teenagers should engage in behaviors heretofore associated primarily with adult films,” unless they pre-empt the program.

The letter says that the local affiliates have the right to censor the broadcast, citing an FCC ruling that local stations can bump shows that are “unsuitable or contrary to the public interest.” The CW declined to comment. (More Gossip Girl stories.)
