A woman kidnapped and raped by Phillip Garrido unexpectedly visited the Bay Area to watch a court hearing for Garrido, who stands accused of the kidnapping and rape of Jaycee Lee Dugard. Garrido abducted and assaulted Katie Calloway Hall in 1976, but was released on parole in 1988. Hall says she wants to be a “watchdog” in the Dugard case to make sure Garrido gets what he deserves.

"I'm here because of the fact that he kidnapped and raped me," Hall tells the San Francisco Chronicle. "I intend to be at as many (hearings) as I can. I'm not going to shut up and go away like the parole board told me to do 21 years ago. I have my own personal reasons for wanting to see him put away."
