Jack Tweed, the troubled widower of late UK reality star Jade Goody, has been charged with raping a 19-year-old woman, the Daily Mail reports. Officers arrested the 22-year-old and a friend after the woman told police the men assaulted her in a bedroom at Tweed’s rented home. Tweed, who will be held in custody until a hearing later this month, is no stranger to the law and has admitted to battling demons since Goody's death from cervical cancer.
Tweed was released from prison in January after serving part of an 18-month sentence for beating a teenager with a golf club, and in May completed half of a 12-week sentence for assaulting a taxi driver. Tweed also made headlines for frequenting London nightclubs just weeks after Goody’s funeral. “I'm drinking quite a lot,” he has said. “I've got to go and see someone, or I've got to stop.”
