President Obama is getting ready to toss out the first pitch at tonight’s All-Star Game in St. Louis, Fox News reports, and is relying on the experience from his previous such gig, for the White Sox in 2005. “My general strategy the last time I threw a pitch was at the American League championship series, and I just wanted to keep it high,” he said today.

“Now, there was no clock on it. I don’t know how fast it went. But if it exceeded 30 miles per hour, I’d be surprised. But it did clear the plate.” Before tonight’s toss, expected around 8:35 EDT, Obama says, “I want to loosen up my arm a little bit.” (More President Obama stories.)
