Bruised Brown Talks of Fleeing Downing Street

After surviving a coup by members of his own party earlier this month, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown admitted he was “hurt” by their personal attacks and said he could “walk away from all this tomorrow.” “I’m not interested in what accompanies being in power,” Brown told the Guardian, saying recent weeks have been the worst of his political life.

Despite a spate of scandals, Brown remained confident that his Labour Party could win the next election and conceded that he’s no great communicator. “I'm not as great a presenter of information as I would like to be,” he said, lamenting his lack of political maneuvering skills. “I don't actually think I'm very good at it at all.”
