Today is the day Susan Boyle returns to singing, the Mirror reports. The troubled star is set to join rehearsals for the Britain’s Got Talent tour. “There is no pressure on her but everyone hopes it means she will perform on Friday,” says a source. “It’s her decision.” Elsewhere:

  • Rihanna was subpoenaed by prosecutors in the case against Chris Brown, and “if the preliminary hearing indeed goes forward, she will be there” June 22, her lawyer tells People.

  • British rocker Pete Doherty was arrested early this morning on suspicion of drunk driving, the Guardian reports. The singer, often in trouble with the law for drugs and alcohol, was bagged earlier this week for allegedly taking illegal drugs on a plane.
  • Recently split from Justin Gaston, Miley Cyrus is back in the arms of ex Nick Jonas. The two were spotted jet skiing together in Georgia by the Coastal Source.
  • Jeremy Piven is still railing about mercury poisoning, telling Michigan Avenue magazine, “the Obama administration came out and they said the number one chemical problem in the world is mercury.”
