New Hampshire took another step toward legalizing gay marriage today, when the state Senate passed a measure already approved by the House, the Dartmouth reports. The bill will become law automatically Jan. 1 unless Gov. John Lynch vetoes it—and though he has said he’s against same-sex nuptials, it’s not clear whether he’ll take that step.
