Giants Pitchers Show Poor Control (on Twitter)

On Saturday night, Brian Wilson told 3,000 of his closest friends—including Chris Matyszczyk of CNet—that he was out clubbing in Arizona, where he ran into some “overaggressive males.” Harmless fun, you say? Not for Giants fans, who watched the closer blow an easy 4-1 lead the next afternoon. Afterward, Wilson tweeted, “WARNING-do not take my twitters seriously, they are made up stories that reflect my humor.” Later, he took the page down entirely.

But you can still get tweets from another Giant hurler, the sensitive, articulate Barry Zito. Normally Zito tweets things like poems or Abraham Lincoln quotes. But not Sunday. Sunday he tweeted a picture of gingerbread pigs doing the nasty. “These are real ginger bread pigs,” he tweeted. “They got frisky, luckily I had the phone cam.” Matyszczyk disagrees. “Luck is sliding a curve ball past Manny Ramirez,” he writes. “Luck is not getting Mexican Gingerbread Pig Flu.” (More Barry Zito stories.)
