"Everyone has a heavy heart," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said before the game last night, in which the team paid tribute to pitcher Nick Adenhart, who died in a crash early Thursday, with a moment of silence. The driver accused of killing Adenhart and two others was charged with murder and drunk driving yesterday, the Los Angeles Times reports. Police say Andrew Gallo had triple the legal blood-alcohol level and could face up to 54 years in jail.

A steady stream of fans and well-wishers added flowers, candles, caps, and baseballs to a makeshift memorial outside the stadium. The Angels beat the Red Sox 6-3. (More Nick Adenhart stories.)
