Keira Knightley gets roughed up in a new TV ad on domestic violence, the Guardian reports. Knightley, playing herself, returns home to be accused by her abusive partner of an affair with a co-star. As he beats her, the camera pulls out to reveal that they are on a film set, and the message “Isn’t it time someone called cut?” appears.

Knightley and director Joe Wright donated their time to make the spot for UK charity Women’s Aid. “I wanted to take part in this advert for Women’s Aid because while domestic violence exists in every section of society we rarely hear about it,” Knightley said. “Domestic violence affects one in four women at some point in their lifetime and kills two women every week.” (More Keira Knightley stories.)
