Controversial Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is making headlines again, despite promises to keep a low profile and stay on message. The Minnesota Republican infamously endangered her reelection last year by demanding an investigation of "anti-American" members of Congress. Now, she's drawing attention for warning of "nefarious activities" in Washington and calling upon constituents to "rise up" in "orderly revolution" against the tax-happy government, reports the Hill.

Bachmann defended her recent remarks in a round of media appearances. "It’s all about shooting the messenger," she said of her recent push for conservative legislation, which includes a bill prohibiting replacing the dollar with a multi-national currency. "I have experienced that throughout my political career, being labeled a kook,” she cautioned. “This is not Michele Bachmann being a kook.” (Read more Michele Bachmann stories.)
