(AP Photo/Charles Dharapak) (Associated Press) Facing mounting US pressure to extinguish the Taliban and capture Osama bin Laden, dueling presidents Pervez Musharraf and Hamid Karzai will meet this week to discuss anti-terrorism efforts, CNN reports. Karzai has criticized his Pakistani counterpart for failed efforts to crack down on terrorism, but today the Afghan leader praised him for “some very strong measures” against extremists. The Musharraf-Karzai summit will begin after the Afghan president’s 2-day meeting with President Bush at Camp David. Meanwhile, Musharraf, who blamed Karzai for the Taliban’s resurgence, recently met with another of his critics, Benazir Bhutto. The ex-PM now says she would return from exile to serve again in that role if Musharraf resigns his post as army chief.
