Police taught aspiring drug lords everywhere a valuable lesson yesterday: If you’re going to grow pot, don’t put a video of yourself doing it on YouTube—and definitely don’t sign that video with your real name. But one 25-year-old Somerset man did just that, and was treated to a visit by police for his troubles. Officers seized and will destroy a large cannabis plant, with an estimated value up to $720.
“If you break the law and are foolish enough to then advertise your criminal activities on the Internet, it makes it very easy for the police to catch you,” one officer observed. The eager video horticulturalist admitted to cultivating cannabis, and got off with an official warning. (More cannabis stories.)
