Kenny Chesney took home his third straight entertainer of the year trophy at the CMA Awards tonight. Chesney's win ties him with Garth Brooks for most in that category. Another big winner was George Straight, who took home honors for best single ("I Saw God Today") and best album (Troubador).

  • Male vocalist: Brad Paisley
  • New artist: Lady Antebellum
  • Vocal group: Rascal Flatts
  • Vocal duo: Sugarland
  • Song (goes to the songwriter): Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland for "Stay."
  • Music video: "Waitin' on  Woman": Braid Paisley, featuring Andy Griffith
  • Musican: Guitarist Mac McAnally
