Clock Ticking on Real Palin's SNL Debut

Sarah Palin won’t be on tonight’s Saturday Night Live prime-time special, but head writer Seth Meyers tells Newsday the door's still open. “There's nothing specific yet, but our window of opportunity is before the election," Meyers says. “We'd love to have her.  We'd love to have McCain and Obama on again, too."

Before Tina Fey unveiled her uncanny impersonation of the would-be veep, "it seemed like something was going to work out," he said, but wouldn't give away any more details about what's happened since then, except to say the problem is "the schedule.
