General Motors is providing access to Tesla's extensive Supercharger network for its electric vehicle (EV) owners. Starting Wednesday, GM EV owners can utilize Tesla's more than 17,800 Superchargers across the US using a GM-approved NACS DC adapter, priced at $225. The adapter is purchasable through GM vehicle brand mobile apps.

By integrating Tesla Superchargers into its network, GM will grant its EV owners access to more than 231,800 public Level 2 and DC fast chargers throughout North America. Wade Sheffer, GM Energy's vice president, emphasized that "enabling access to even more publicly available fast chargers" aims to streamline the transition to electric vehicles. These adapters will initially be available in the United States, with plans to extend availability to Canadian customers later this year. (This story was generated by Newser's AI chatbot.
