Jessica Simpson has a message for those who've been expressing concern for her via social media in recent days: she's fine, and also, she's been sober for five years. The uproar started Thursday, when Simpson posted a Pottery Barn Kids ad in which the singer shows off the brand's products in her 3-year-old daughter's room. Instagram comments ran along the lines of "Is she ok?" and "blink twice if you need help jess," with one noting that after the campaign to "save" Britney Spears, a similar one might need to be started for Simpson. Chief among their concerns, per TMZ, was Simpson's voice and speech seeming "off" to many of them, with some pointing out she seems to be speaking slowly and working hard to get the correct words.

In a follow-up post Sunday, Simpson shared a clip of her singing her song "Party of One," which the Los Angeles Times calls a "self-empowerment anthem." "I needed to be in my studio today because this is where I ground myself and heal. As much as I have learned to block out destructive noise…peoples’ comments and judgements can still hurt deeply with their incessant nagging 'you will never be good enough,'" she wrote in a lengthy caption. "The most important thing I have learned through the last 5yrs without alcohol being a guard for escapism, is that I CAN and ALWAYS WILL get through it." Simpson has been open about her changes in appearance recently, having undergone a non-surgical facelift last month and sharing about the three-year weight loss journey that resulted in her losing 100 pounds.
