The attorney for the family of Brian Laundrie said Tuesday that the 23-year-old died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, reports TMZ. Laundrie's remains were discovered in Florida’s Carlton Reserve on Oct. 20, but an initial autopsy was inconclusive, per Today.com. At the time, police had been searching for him as a suspect in the murder of girlfriend Gabby Petito. Parents “Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was suicide," said the statement from attorney Steve Bertolino, per Tampa's WFLA. "Chris and Roberta are still mourning the loss of their son and are hopeful that these findings bring closure to both families." (More Brian Laundrie stories.)
