Hackers Take Over Comcast Website for Several Hours
The Comcast.net site was hijacked by hackers for several hours yesterday.   (dslreports.com)

A message that hackers had “RoXed” the Comcast homepage took over the site for several hours last night starting a little before 11pm. Apparently hackers got control of the site’s domain name at the registrar, Network Solutions, and redirected it to servers hosting the hijacking message. A rep said the site was functioning again this morning, but not all users could access it, reports AP.

"We have alerted law enforcement authorities and are working in conjunction with them," said a company spokesperson. “KRYOGENICS Defiant and EBK RoXed Comcast, sHouTz to VIRUS Warlock elul21 coll1er seven,” read the full message left by the hackers. The company’s 14.1 million subscribers use the portal to access email, news, and tech support. (More cyberwarfare stories.)
