When the season started, the Kansas City Chiefs were the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl, notes Sports Illustrated. Now that the season is almost over, they remain the favorites, though slight ones. Vegas bookies have the team as 1- or 1.5-point favorites to beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 54 after Sunday's conference championship games. KC and quarterback phenom Patrick Mahomes earned the honor by beating Tennessee 35-24, while the 49ers beat Green Bay 37-20. The big game is 6:30pm February 2 in Miami. ESPN has a preview, and it notes a rarity: The contest will feature a team that led its conference in passing (Chiefs) against one that led in rushing (49ers).
