Gigi Hadid won't be sitting for jury duty after all. The supermodel summoned as a potential juror in Harvey Weinstein's New York City rape trial was dismissed "minutes after arriving" at Manhattan Supreme Court shortly before 9am Thursday, reports the Daily Beast. She had returned for additional questioning after telling Justice James Burke on Monday that she could be an impartial juror despite having met Weinstein and potential witness Salma Hayek.

Both sides agreed she was unsuitable. In a Wednesday letter, Weinstein lawyer Arthur Aidala argued her presence "increases the number of spectators and protestors outside of the courthouse," per BuzzFeed. Variety points out that Hadid is friends with model Cara Delevingne, who claimed in 2017 that Weinstein tried to kiss her in his hotel room. Some 146 potential jurors are left. Opening arguments in the case are to begin Wednesday. (More Harvey Weinstein stories.)
