An Indiana woman knew which of her twins, a boy and a girl, would be born first. "She's been in position for most of the pregnancy," Dawn Gilliam said. But she didn't know that Joslyn would be born a decade ahead of her brother. She arrived at 11:37pm on New Year's Eve, and by the time Jaxon was born 30 minutes later, the calendar had turned to 2020. "He was breech," Gilliam said. "So, it took a while for him to come." Joslyn weighed in at 4 pounds, 11 ounces, WTHR reports, and Jaxon at 4 pounds, 5 ounces.

The twins' due date was Feb. 19, well within the same year. But lack of fetal movement sent Gilliam to the Carmel hospital early, per WBNS. "We talked about it would be great to have them born on different dates," said their father, Jason. "But here we are with this surprise — different dates, different years. That was definitely interesting for us, for sure. We're still kind of speechless." Joslyn and Jason are healthy, but they're on feeding tubes and could be in the hospital for a while. The couple has two boys, 10 and 5, at home waiting. (More twins stories.)
