Jeffrey Epstein's alleged former madame hasn't fallen off the Earth—she's just very well-protected, according to unnamed sources popping up in the tabloids. "She is not in the US, she moves around," an unidentified source tells the New York Post about Ghislaine Maxwell, 58. "She is sometimes in the UK, but most often in other countries, such as Israel, where her powerful contacts have provided her with safe houses and protection." The source adds that Maxwell is being "protected because of the information she has on the world's most powerful people." Seems Britain's Prince Andrew "pleaded with" the British socialite to give an interview saying he hadn't slept with Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre, but Maxwell wouldn't do it.

So Andrew gave his own interview, which was widely considered a disaster. "She carefully considered it, but decided no good would come of it," says the source. "It isn't in her best interests." Following reports of an FBI probe into Maxwell, the source says if the feds really wanted her, "the IRS would have looked at her tax returns and the income she may have got from Epstein and perhaps some of his powerful associates." There's little else in mainstream media, save a Daily Mail source who says Maxwell receives death threats and moves between safe houses guarded by "the best," including former Navy SEALs. "This is costing her a fortune," per the source. "She moves constantly." (An Epstein prison video has emerged.)
