An NFL reporter says she caught her ex-boyfriend cheating when his Fitbit data went crazy in the middle of the night, USA Today reports. "Wish the story wasn't real," Jane Slater tweeted in a post that's gotten over 470,000 likes and 46,000 retweets. "Spoiler alert: he was not enrolled in an OrangeTheory class at 4am." Slater says he got her a Fitbit one Christmas and they synched up to motivate each other: "Didn't hate it until he was unaccounted for at 4am and his physical activity levels were spiking on the app." She was even at his place ready to celebrate his birthday with balloons, and when he didn't show, she considered calling the police because "the behavior was out of character" for him.

"My girlfriend once said 'one day we will laugh about this' as I sobbed uncontrollably in the car," she added. "I have now many times bahahahah." Check out Slater's Twitter feed for hidden gems, like the follower who says her ex-husband "got caught in an affair" while wearing a training watch and heartbeat monitor her mom got him for Christmas: "It was the under-one-minute heart rate spike that confirmed things for me!" Meanwhile, an exercise professor in North Carolina confirms that sex will show up on a Fitbit. "There's definitely going to be a substantial rise in heart rate from resting, depending on how energetic you are," Alex Koch tells Business Insider. But he notes that sex, while good "for emotional well-being and as a core workout," isn't the "best way to burn a lot of calories." (More infidelity stories.)
