Remember when US soccer star Carli Lloyd went to the Philadelphia Eagles training camp last month and kicked a 55-yard field goal? If not, just know that New York Jets fans do. And after the Jets lost to the Buffalo Bills Sunday 17-16—thanks in part to two missed kicks by Kaare Vedvik—the team is being urged to give Lloyd a look, reports USA Today. The story rounds up tweets from fans to that effect, also with some from sports broadcasters. "Carli Lloyd lives real close to the Jets facility," tweeted Dianna Russini of ESPN. "Call her." In a similar vein: Hey Jets, Lloyd "is from New Jersey," tweeted Rich Eisen. "It's a local call." For her part, Lloyd has said she thinks she could kick in the NFL, notes the Los Angeles Times.
