"Have u noticed the statistics of child stars and the outcome of their life?" The question is one Justin Bieber asked in a lengthy Instagram post Monday revealing years of struggles. The 25-year-old singer talked about being born to teen parents who were separated and "still young and rebellious" themselves, and being suddenly thrust into the spotlight at 13 when his singing talents turned him into an instant star. "Everyone did everything for me so I never even learned the fundamentals of responsibility," and he believed all the praise being heaped on him. By 18, he had "no skills in the real world, with millions of dollars and access to whatever I wanted." By 19, he was "doing pretty heavy drugs." By 20, he had "made every bad decision you could have thought of and went from one of the most loved and adored people in the world to the most ridiculed, judged, and hated person in the world."

He describes a period when he felt so "overwhelmed" he dreaded each day, and says that despite having "money, clothes, cars, accolades, achievements, awards," he was "still unfulfilled." What changed? Despite the fact that, he says, he had at one point "abused all of my relationships," he had people in his life who encouraged him to "keep going," he writes. "Luckily god blessed me with extraordinary people who love me for me." He says his current season of life, "MARRIAGE," is the best one yet and that he's learning "patience, trust, commitment, kindness, humility and all of the things it looks like to be a good man." His final message to followers: "even when The odds are against you keep fighting. Jesus loves you. .. BE KIND TODAY> BE BOLD TODAY AND LOVE PEOPLE TODAY NOT BY YOUR STANDARDS BUT BY GODS PERFECT UNFAILING LOVE." As Us reports, celebs including Liam Payne, Khloe Kardashian, Ed Sheeran, and more shared messages of support in the comments. (More Justin Bieber stories.)
