For fans of the Great British Baking Show looking forward to sitting down and gorging themselves on a new season this week, well, Netflix would like you to exercise some restraint. As Quartz puts it, the streaming service that "more or less created binge-watching" is dropping the seventh and latest season of the British baking phenom in very measured and uncharacteristic doses: An episode per week. That means 10 weeks of the GBBS, and Quartz is a fan of the idea, calling it "great news for GBBS fans," who can now enjoy the season "savored over several months than gobbled down in one or two all-you-can-eat buffets of pastries, tortes, and tennis cakes."
