After less than a year of marriage and a decade of an on-off relationship, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are calling it quits once more. As People reports, 26-year-old Cyrus sparked rumors on Saturday when she posted a photo of herself sans wedding ring to Instagram, and later confirmed the breakup. "Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time," says a statement from a Cyrus rep. "Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."

Cyrus appeared ambivalent about the nuances of marriage, telling Elle in a cover story this month that "it's very confusing to people that I'm married," and that while "I still am very sexually attracted to women," Hemsworth is "the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word." ET notes that Cyrus is currently vacationing in Lake Como, Italy, with Brody Jenner's ex, Kaitlynn Carter, and the two have been spotted packing on the PDA. (More Miley Cyrus stories.)
