A pair of masked, knife-wielding aggressors were no match for soccer star Sead Kolasinac, who fought them off Thursday. While the details are still a bit shaky, the 26-year-old Premier League full-back was with Arsenal teammate Mesut Ozil when two masked men on mopeds approached Ozil's black Mercedes SUV in North London. Kolasinac, who was unarmed, can be seen on video going after them, reports the BBC. "On the basis of how he saved Ozil from knife-wielding thugs today, I would make Kolasinac captain of Arsenal with immediate effect," Piers Morgan tweeted after the video spread widely on social media.

Arsenal afterward confirmed both players were "fine." A witness said they fled to a nearby Turkish restaurant, per the Guardian, and described midfielder Ozil as "look[ing] absolutely terrified … like he was running for his life." Some reports describe the aggressors as possible carjackers. "It was reported that suspects on motorbikes had attempted to rob a man who was driving a car," per a Metropolitan Police rep. "The driver, along with his passenger, managed to get away unharmed and traveled to a restaurant in Golders Green, where they were spoken to by officers." No arrests have been made.
