TV Ghost Hunter Buys Site of Manson Murders

The grisly history of a home in Los Angeles has turned out to be its big selling point. TMZ reports that Ghost Adventures star Zak Bagans has bought the home where Charles Manson's followers brutally murdered Leno and Rosemary LaBianca on Aug. 9, 1969, stabbing the couple dozens of times and scrawling slogans including "DEATH TO PIGS" on the walls in their blood. The home hit the market for $1.98 million last week and sources say Bagans, a collector of Manson-linked items, snapped it up for close to the asking price.

The deal will close almost exactly 50 years after the murders. "The house isn't just about the dark history, it's actually on a gorgeous lot," Bagans tells Fox 5. "When I walked through that house, I felt things. It was very, very interesting. It was very powerful and I knew that I had to have it." He says the previous owners reported strange events, including dogs mysteriously disappearing. (More Manson family stories.)
