A Facebook Live video recorded by a woman in Kansas City, Mo., is causing a stir after Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers were seen breaking the window of the car she was in and dragging her boyfriend out to arrest him. Per ABC News, Cheyenne Hoyt says she and Florencio Millan-Vazquez, 32, originally from Mexico, were about to head out to take their 7-month-old disabled daughter to a doctor's appointment when a Jeep pulled right in front of their car; their 11-year-old son was also with them, per KMBC. Hoyt says ICE officers got out of the Jeep and told Millan-Vazquez to exit the car. In the 32-minute video taped by Hoyt, she can be heard several times asking to see the warrant that ICE officers claimed they had. No warrant was shown, and after about 20 minutes, the agents threatened to break the car window—which they did, yanking Millan-Vazquez out.

The couple's son can be heard crying in the clip after the window is broken, and when asked by an ICE agent if he was OK, he replied, "The glass hit me, but I didn't get cut," per ABC. ICE rep Shawn Neudauer says Millan-Vazquez was "uncooperative" and that ICE officers had "no other choice" on getting him out of the car. An immigration attorney tells the AP that ICE generally needs a warrant to enter someone's home, but that it's murkier when it comes to arrests outside of the home. Records show Millan-Vazquez has traffic-related misdemeanor offenses on his record, per KSHB, and that he re-entered the US twice after being voluntarily deported in 2011, which is a felony. Hoyt concedes Millan-Vazquez, now in ICE custody until he's deported, is in the US illegally, but she adds he's a chef who works hard to support his family. "I'm still in shock," Hoyt says. "[Millan-Vazquez] is not a rapist, he's not a murderer, or a drug dealer. And the way they did it in front of the kids, they didn't care." (More ICE stories.)
