"Too young. Too sweet. Too funny." So wrote one celebrity after the surprising death Saturday of rising star Cameron Boyce, People reports. The 20-year-old actor, known for his Disney Channel roles and cheered for his philanthropy, apparently died in his sleep. "It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron," his family said, per ABC News. "He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated." For such a young man, Boyce had an extensive career. He debuted in the horror movie Mirrors at age 9 and later acted alongside Adam Sandler as one of his children in the blockbuster Grown Ups.

Boyce went on to film and TV roles in Grown Ups 2, Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up, and Ultimate Spider-Man, E! Online reports. He also wrapped production last year on the Disney Channel movie Descendants 3 and was slated to appear on the HBO show Mrs. Fletcher. In his charity work, Boyce raised $30,000 to bring drinking water to Swaziland and boosted awareness about a global crisis in which 844 million people lack clean drinking water. Sandler, whose reaction to Boyce's death is quoted above, was among several Hollywood figures to express their grief. "Cameron, you were and still are a star," tweeted actor Gregg Sulkin. "May god bless you in heaven. You will be missed down here." (A major musician also died on Saturday.)
