The "Starbucks" cup is gone. HBO confirmed the coffee cup that appeared in a scene from Sunday night's Game of Thrones was an accident, not an ad—"Starbucks, send us money!" an executive producer joked to WNYC in an interview Monday—and then, with no fanfare, edited it out of the episode. It can no longer be seen when streaming the show on HBO Go, the Verge reports. Before making the fix, the network also released a tongue-in-cheek statement about the error, per BuzzFeed: "The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea." But the accidental latte wasn't actually from Starbucks, as many believed; the Wall Street Journal confirms it was a coffee cup from the show's craft services department. (Even so, it may have been worth millions in PR for the popular coffee chain.)
