Reilly Hamilton was on her apartment building's rooftop with friends Saturday night, taking pictures of the New York City skyline, when something went horribly wrong. "I heard a massive crash and I looked out my window and she was just kind of lying on the ground," a resident tells CBS2. The 22-year-old had fallen five stories, but astonishingly, she survived. Some residents think she hit an air-conditioning unit before ultimately landing in the building's garbage area, which broke her fall. "She was out of it for a few minutes and then she came to and started crying," the witness says. Another resident tells the New York Post, "She was screaming. She was just like, ‘It hurts!’" She is currently in critical but stable condition at Bellevue Hospital with a fractured pelvis, broken right ankle, and broken right arm. (Just weeks ago, a similar incident had a fatal ending.)
