Country star Mindy McCready confirmed that she had a 10-year affair with Roger Clemens in a tearful interview yesterday with the New York Daily News. "I cannot refute anything in the story," McCready says. The two met in 1991, when the singer was 15, and Clemens was 28 and married, although the relationship didn't become sexual until later.

Clemens is under FBI investigation for perjury, and has filed an anti-defamation lawsuit against ex-trainer Brian McNamee for accusing him of doping. Lawyers for McNamee say they will call McCready as a character witness. "If there are other women—and there's not just one case, but many—and he holds himself out as a family man and an American paradigm, it's relevant," one said. (More Roger Clemens stories.)
