An elderly woman with dementia who vanished from a care facility nearly two weeks ago has been found dead in a stairwell at a San Francisco hospital campus, the AP reports. Authorities say a staff member found the body of 75-year-old Ruby Andersen on Wednesday in the stairwell of a power plant near Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, an area normally accessible only to maintenance workers. San Francisco Sheriff Vicki Hennessy says Ruby Andersen left the care facility across the street from the hospital on May 19 to visit her family, but authorities were notified May 20 when she did not return. Her cause of death is not yet clear. (A patient was found dead in a stairwell at the same hospital in 2013.)
