A chaotic week at the White House usually makes for a giddy week at Saturday Night Live, and this latest week of rolling heads left no shortage of fish in the barrel. The show opened with Alex Moffat as Anderson Cooper interviewing Kate McKinnon, whom the New York Times describes as playing a "giddy" AG Jeff Sessions, explaining his decision to fire FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe thusly: "Look, I’m always down to clown but this was sneaky, even for me. I’m just a simple man who wanted to make things bad for immigrants. And now, here I am, taking away the pension of a Christian white. It ain’t right." Next up was John Goodman as Rex Tillerson complaining that "It’s just crazy how one day you’re the CEO of Exxon, a $50 billion company. And the next day, you get fired by a man who used to sell steaks in the mail."

The romp didn't end there: Cooper brought out SNL alum Fred Armisen as Fire and Fury author Michael Wolff, along with show guest-host Bill Hader as Anthony Scaramucci. McKinnon later appeared as Education Secretary Betsy DeVos on "Weekend Update." Meanwhile, with Hader and Armisen back in the house, Stefon and "The Californians" made a return.
