Company Trying to Make Male Rompers a Thing
The next big thing in men's fashion?   (Kickstarter)

Men embraced skinny jeans first sported by women, then "leggings" became "meggings." Now one company hopes to start the latest "fashion revolution" with the RompHim, which is indeed a romper for men, touted as being versatile enough that it can be worn to Coachella and the Kentucky Derby. Though some are skeptical about the male desire "to dress like a Rockford Peach" or as Sean Connery's barelegged James Bond from 1964's Goldfinger, ACED Design met its $10,000 fundraising goal on Kickstarter within 24 hours of its launch Monday, per Mashable. It has now raised more than $45,000 offering rompers for $90 and up in pink, blue, splatter print, and also a Fourth of July design.

The gang behind the brand, who describe themselves as friends from business school, say they were "sitting around drinking beers" one night when they discovered that men's fashion was missing a "stylish and fun" design that was also versatile and comfortable. After "countless hours" at work, they came up with a "super-garment" dubbed the RompHim. Combining a tailored shirt and structured pants, the RompHim includes an adjustable waist and—most importantly—a zipper fly, so the outfit doesn't have to be shed in order for the wearer to pee, as is the case with most rompers for women, per New York. The rompers are expected to ship in August. (Pre-muddied pants are now a thing.)
