Villanova made it look easy today, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Never trailing after a dominant start, the Wildcats notched their third Sweet 16 appearance in four years with an  84-72 triumph over Siena in the Midwest regional's second round. Scottie Reynolds made his presence felt early, netting 15 points in the first 10 minutes for Villanova, and finishing with 25 points and eight rebounds.

Siena staved off a complete blowout by virtue of 26-39 shooting from the charity stripe, despite never coming closer than nine points after the opening minutes and shooting only 35.7 percent from the field. Alex Franklin led the Saints with 18 points, while Corey Stokes joined Reynolds on Villanova's leader board with 20 points, including 14 in the first half. (More Siena Saints stories.)
