Trump Defends Campaign Manager: He's 'Spirited'

With an accusation that his campaign manager roughed up a protester at a rally following on the heels of another brouhaha, Donald Trump on Sunday came to Corey Lewandowski's defense, reports the Hill. "I give him credit for having spirit. He wanted them to take down those horrible, profanity-laced signs," Trump told ABC's This Week. "The police were a little bit lax, and he had signs. They had signs up in that arena that were horrendous." Meanwhile, per a campaign rep, the protester "was pulled from behind by the man to Lewandowski’s left. The video clearly shows the protester reacting to the man who pulled him, not to Mr. Lewandowski." (Meanwhile, Trump protesters blocked the only major road to a Phoenix rally Saturday, chanting "Trump is hate.")
