This Might Be Daytona Speedway's First DUI
Abbie Kinney   (Daytona Police Department)

Daytona International Speedway has seen plenty of crashes over the years, but perhaps none like this one. A woman has been charged with DUI after crashing into the infield and causing injuries, reports the Daytona Beach News-Journal. It happened early Saturday, as fans were camping out on an area of the racetrack ahead of Sunday's big race. Police say 43-year-old Abbie Kinney blew twice the legal limit after driving her pickup through the infield, hitting four people and six RVs. One of those injured suffered a broken leg, reports Fox 35. "We heard a loud bang behind us, as soon as we turned around, she was on top of us," says one of the injured spectators. "I got lucky. I really did. I don't know how I'm standing here right now. If I had been standing a foot to the left or the right, who knows." (More Daytona International Speedway stories.)
