The men behind Jurassic Park's ferocious dinosaurs and King Kong's gargantuan ape will soon be the men behind a tiny white dog named Snowy. Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson are teaming up to produce and direct a trilogy of movies based on The Adventures of Tintin, George Remi's popular French comic books about a young Belgian reporter and his dog.

The powerhouse filmmakers will each direct at least one film, and the entire series will employ WETA Digital's state-of-the-art 3-D graphics. Spielberg, who has owned the rights for 25 years, is elated to begin work on Tintin. Upon completing a test reel, he said, "The characters have been reborn as living beings, expressing emotion and a soul." (More Steven Spielberg stories.)
