Guy Busted for DUI ... on Motorized Wheelchair
Ronny Scott Hicks   (Brevard County Sheriff's Office)

Ronny Scott Hicks learned the hard way Monday night that it is, in fact, possible to get arrested for driving under the influence even if you're not in a car. The Florida 54-year-old did so by allegedly riding his motorized wheelchair around Palm Bay while intoxicated, WKMG reports; someone called police because Hicks was allegedly obstructing traffic on a bridge. Cops found him slurring his words and smelling of alcohol, and he allegedly proceeded to refuse to take a breathalyzer or follow police instructions and was thus taken into custody. Hicks also has two prior DUI convictions, WTSP reports. (More wheelchair stories.)
