Joe Sakic and rookie David Jones each had a goal and two assists for the Avalanche. Colorado has won 10 of its last 14 road contests, reports the Associated Press. Elsewhere in the NHL:

  • Carey Price’s 38 saves gave the Montreal Canadiens a 4-0 victory over New Jersey. The result means that the Habs leapfrog the Devils for first place in the Eastern Conference.
