A 19-year-old California man is facing life in prison after allegedly posing as a modeling agent to extort nude and sexually explicit photos and videos from nearly two-dozen underage girls, ABC 7 reports. According to NBC Los Angeles, Cesar Estrada-Davila befriended the girls—ages 12 to 17—on social media, told them he could make them "Facebook famous," and asked that they send him photos of themselves in their underwear. Once he had those photos, he allegedly threatened to share them with the girls' friends and family if they didn't give him nude photos and sexually explicit videos. In all, prosecutors allege he blackmailed 21 girls in eight states between January and April, and the lieutenant in charge of the investigation says some of the videos the girls handed over contained sex acts.

NBC reports police were alerted to the blackmail when one of the alleged victims told her father. During the following months-long investigation, police looked at 26,000 Facebook pages before arresting Estrada-Davila Wednesday. He was charged yesterday with 151 counts—109 of them felony counts—including extortion, possession and distribution of child pornography, and lewd acts upon a child, according to ABC. NBC reports Estrada-Davila, who is unemployed and lives with his mother, pleaded not guilty. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to multiple life sentences, reports CBS Los Angeles.
